Parent Handbook & Sign-Off

Welcome to The Tutoring Den & Enrichment Classes! We are so excited to have your child join our learning community. This handbook outlines our policies and expectations to ensure a safe, nurturing, and productive environment for every child.

By signing this agreement, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to all of the policies listed below.

Please arrive on time for all scheduled sessions. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session at the same rate.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full session fee.

Consistent attendance is important for your child's progress. Repeated absences without notice may result in your spot being offered to another family.

Make-up classes are available if we have availability for the session you signed up for. Please reach out to Ms. Madalyn to check availability and schedule your make-up.

Payment is due at the start of each month via Venmo (@Madalyn-Tsarsis). Availability will be confirmed before payment is made.

There are no refunds for missed sessions unless the session is cancelled by The Tutoring Den.

All classes and sessions are held in a private home. The dedicated classroom is clean, safe, structured, fun, and age-appropriate.

All sessions and classes are drop-off and in-person. Students only, please.

You may enter through the driveway (left of the home) to the back, where you will find the private entrance to the Den.

You are welcome to park in our driveway (left of the home). Please do not block neighbors' driveways.

You are welcome to wait for your child in our private, fenced-in yard with comfortable seating.

Drop-off and pick-up take place at the back of the house. Please come around to the back entrance — do not use the front door.

Drop-off is allowed up to 5 minutes before the start time. Please be on time — sessions begin promptly.

Please pick up your child at the finish time. If you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please label all of your child's belongings.

Please bring a change of clothes (child's name labeled) to keep at The Tutoring Den while your child attends.

Please have your child wear comfortable/messy clothing since we do artwork, etc.

If someone other than the usual parent or caregiver will be dropping off or picking up your child, please let us know in advance. We will kindly ask for ID when they arrive.

Please provide emergency contact names and phone numbers on your enrollment form.

Please keep your child home if they are sick, have a fever, or show any symptoms of illness. Children must be symptom-free for at least 24 hours before returning.

Please inform us of any allergies, medical conditions, or special needs your child has so we can best support them.

The Tutoring Den maintains a clean and safe learning environment. All materials and surfaces are regularly sanitized.

No food is allowed in the Den. Labeled water bottles are welcome!

We believe every child deserves a respectful and encouraging learning environment. Children are expected to be kind to peers, follow directions, and treat materials with care.

Positive reinforcement and gentle redirection are used. If a child's behavior becomes consistently disruptive, parents will be contacted to discuss solutions.

The Tutoring Den has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying or harmful behavior toward others.

Please allow up to 24 hours for a response. For urgent matters, a phone call is preferred.

Progress updates will be shared regularly. We encourage open communication between families and The Tutoring Den.

When weather permits, we will use our private, fenced-in backyard to do sensory activities and gross motor development. Fresh air and outdoor play are a wonderful part of learning and growing!

Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor activity on the days they attend. Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended.

We love sharing the joy of learning! Occasionally, photos or videos may be taken of your child during their play & work for educational documentation and to celebrate their growth.

Please indicate on the sign-off form below whether you consent to your child being photographed for use on The Tutoring Den's website or social media.

Photos will never be shared without parental consent.
